What Becomes Possible When You Lead From the Inside Out
Today, I want to acknowledge one of my former clients.
- Shared with written permission -
First, let's create some context.
We did some amazing work together.
By the end of our coaching agreement, I felt like I was sitting across from a different person:
— more grounded,
— more courageous,
— more confident,
— more willing to be in their leadership,
— more connected to their superpowers.
The Feedback
Here’s what they shared after our final session:
"This was incredibly powerful. I didn’t expect it to have such an effect.
I gained so much — and that gives me a deep sense of confidence.
No matter what happens, I now have ways to be with it and to work with it.
This was far more than I had imagined.
It turned out to be a hundred times more helpful than I thought.
I’m experiencing a real shift — one I’ve never felt before."
It was a massive joy to support this leader.
(Somehow, I only get to work with absolutely amazing clients.)
What it takes…
Let me be clear: 100% of the ROI on this transformation belongs to the client.
- To how they showed up
- To their openness
- To the work they put in
- To the courage they demonstrated — again and again
I take my hat off to them!
Creating What You Really Want
Fast forward a few months — we had a follow-up conversation, and I was blown away.
They had been facing real challenges at work that involved their boss.
And most people would have:
• Complained - especially about the boss
• Looked for another job
• Gotten into conflict...
But not this person.
Instead, they created a new role they had been dreaming of
— by having real, courageous, honest conversations across the company.
They are serving the company, the employees, and the clients of the company on a totally different level now.
They are now becoming the go-to person for solving important, complex, expensive problems inside a well-known organisation.
They’re building their team.
They’re having even more impact — on the company, on society, on the planet.
They are living their life on their terms.
A life that is more aligned with their values.
The “Secret”
So… what’s the “secret”?
Three things:
1) They continued the inner work — doing the reps, kept building the muscles, creating momentum, and gaining inner strength.
2) They got clear on what they wanted.
3) They took courageous, powerful action — and kept going, no matter what.
And how I see it: There is much, much possible for them. This chapter is just the beginning of a very exciting journey!
Even more good news?
This isn’t magic.
This is available to anyone willing to do the work.
Yes — that includes YOU.
Be awesome.
Be YOU.
